There are three IAMERS meetings per year where the membership can vote on critical issues. These are your opportunities to have your voice heard. It’s important to be at these meetings, and to vote on the issues which affect our trade association. While everyone is very busy at the RSNA, this meeting typically lasts only about an hour. Evan Bayh in the Wall Street Journal in late September tells the story of the damage to jobs and innovation that is caused by the President’s 2.3% tax on medical devices. Layoffs are being planned, R&D budgets are being slashed and corporations are considering moving as we move closer to implementation. Bayh argues that Congress must act to avoid this catastrophe.
