RSNA Attendance Down by 9%

The unaudited attendance for the 2012 RSNA recently held in Chicago was down by approximately 9% among professional and commercial attendees when compared to 2011 numbers. It appears that a change in RSNA policy regarding the cost of guest/other category attendance, which dropped as a category by 36% from 2011 may have contributed to the year to year down turn.

Obamacare’s Tax Raid on Medical Devices

Evan Bayh in the Wall Street Journal in late September tells the story of the damage to jobs and innovation that is caused by the President’s 2.3% tax on medical devices. Layoffs are being planned, R&D budgets are being slashed and corporations are considering moving as we move closer to implementation. Bayh argues that Congress must act to avoid this catastrophe.
